I write queer stories for queer folks.

As a young person struggling with their sexuality, gender identity, and undiagnosed mental illness, growing up in a very rural, conservative town in Kentucky was tough. Writing was my escape, my way of coping with the struggle of everyday life, of not fitting in, of desperately wishing that I could just be like everyone else. My characters became my companions; the worlds I built, my home. Not to borrow language from my religious upbringing, but my stories became my salvation. Now, I want to share those stories, in the hope that someone else might find the same comfort in them that I did, and continue to do.

…is to create inclusive narratives that highlight the beauty of queer and diverse characters. It is my sincere hope that through my stories, I can provide a space where all voices are celebrated, and stories of queer and diverse characters take center stage, inspiring empathy and acceptance.

I believe that in today’s political climate, it is especially vital to tell these types of stories.

My goal as a storyteller…
